Arty Crafty: Inspired by the Boab

Arty Crafty: Inspired by the Boab

local printmaker and artist Jane Lawton is leading a 2 week Arty Crafty program inspired by our unique creamy white boab flowers.
Arty Crafty sessions are accessible and open to all. We provide a friendly and safe space with activities led by artists to share techniques and skills that help you create your own artpieces.

This term, we are inspired by the changing seasons and will be using natural materials and forms in our work.  Local printmaker and artist Jane Lawton is leading a 2 week program inspired by our unique creamy white boab flowers.

Week one: 18 November    Looking at the form and flower and exploring visuals by using silver and gold on a black background.  Rather than using white paper, having this dark ground helps the beautiful flower form to pop off the page.

Week two: 25 November   Taking your drawing, you can make a lino cut and printin it on a table runner.

Fee:

$5 for KAN Members

$10 for non-members.

There may be an additional cost for some courses, depending on materials required.

*We advise people to book in – numbers are limited and these sessions are popular! Email Clancy on admin@kimberleyartsnetwork.com.au
