Do you want to know more about how to host an exhibition? This free Art on the Move Training Program supports professional practice and career growth for artists and arts workers.
The workshops are run in line with exhibitions for the Regional Arts Triennial. They will equip participants with basic skills in exhibition installation and artwork handling. You will work alongside industry professionals and learn practical skills about handling and hanging artworks, and also about exhibition design.
Art on the Move are the only Western Australian organisation dedicated to touring visual art exhibitions throughout the regions, interstate and beyond, ART ON THE MOVE plays a critical role in connecting art, people, and place. AOTM also support the sector through advocacy, capacity building and opportunities for creative and professional development.

Tues 23 Sept 10am – 3pm | Work with a professional team to prepare for an exhibition. Includes artwork handling and storage, dealing with archival materials and condition reporting |
| Wed 24 Sept 10am – 3pm | As a team, you will learn about canvas stretching, packing, installation of works and exhibition design. |
Friday 26 Sept 5pm – 7pm | Join us for the launch of the ‘Radical Futures’ Kimberley exhibition and see your work on show. |
This program is delivered with the Regional Arts Triennial ‘Radical Futures’ exhibition program.
The Regional Arts Triennial 3: Radical Futures is funded by the WA Government. It is coordinated by Southern Forest Arts with support from ART ON THE MOVE through the Regional Exhibition Touring Boost. Project partners include John Curtin Gallery, Regional Arts WA, GalleriesWest and Kimberley Arts Network.
