Bidyadanga Artists are in Broome for the Kimberley Open Studios Trail. Don’t miss their showing at Redbill Studio Gallery for one weekend only – Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June.
Bidyadanga Artists is a vibrant art centre from the largest remote Aboriginal community in Western Australia, home to around 850 people. Located on the Kimberley coast, 1590 km from Perth and 180km south from Broome, Bidyadanga community has a rich cultural history. The centre represents five language groups, Karajarri, Juwaliny, Mangala, Nyangumarta, Yulparija and other groups from the region- whose diverse traditions are reflected in distinctive artistic styles and stories. The art centre fosters learning, collaboration and skill development, encouraging both emerging and established artists to grow their practice. Bidyadanga Artists is an activity of Bidyadanga Aboriginal Community La Grange Inc. and proudly supported by them.
Redbill Studio Gallery will be open 10am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday for the Bidyadanga Artists exhibition. The Gallery entry is found within the Matso’s Brewery beer garden.
