The theme of ‘Radical Futures’ connects all Triennial activites and events across the state, and you can see it here in the Kimberley; KAN has been collaborating with East Kimberley partners, including Waringarri Arts and Curator Dora Griffith working with Tracey Mulardy and Cathy Cummins to craft an exhibition that digs into the Radical Futures theme, with the Kimberley title “We Walk Together”.

When thinking about ‘radical futures’ here in the Kimberley, Dora questioned what kind of world do we want our children and grandchildren to live in? A future that is deeply connected to country, respectful of diverse cultures in which we can walk together. It’s a radical return to a region in which different peoples meet with mutual understanding and a nurturing relationship to country. Rather than notions of conquering, it’s a notion of acceptance.

The University of Notre Dame Library Annex at 88 Guy St Broome
Exhibitions will be open 10am to 4pm from Saturday 27 September to Friday 3 October.
