Calling all young LGBTIQA+ people!

We’re getting real about what it means to grow up queer in regional WA — YOUnity uses art, music, and storytelling to express our truths and imagine a future that reflects us. Want to share your story, explore your identity through the arts, and connect with a community that gets you? YOUnity is your space — to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

Series One: REPRESENT l FLAGS IN MOTION Design a flag that’s YOU — your vibe, your story, your pride. Each flag will come together with others from around the state to create one epic, united artwork that celebrates the bold and vibrant spirit of LGBTIQA+ youth in regional WA.

This series runs for 4 weeks; every Wednesday until 12 November. Then we will have a different series in February 2026.

No matter your experience with art, if you’re passionate about being part of something meaningful and community-driven, we want you here. YOUnity is a safe space for LGBTIQA+ young people aged 15 to 24. It’s free to take part, with all materials and light refreshments provided. YOUnity is not just about being creative — it’s about using your voice to help spark real change for queer youth in country WA. If you choose, your contribution will be shared with Youth Pride Network to shape conversations, influence policy, and drive visibility.

What makes this project special? Four studio sessions where you can get real, get creative, and be yourself.

If you’d like more information, you can get in touch with Clancy at KAN (0484 269 834) or Uri at Headspace (9194 4500).

This project is proudly delivered in partnership with the Youth Pride Network — WA’s peak body for LGBTIQA+ young people, led by young queer folks, for young queer folks. That means the things you choose to create, share, and express through the project won’t just stay in the studio — it will become part of real advocacy work and help drive real change.
Be seen, heard, and celebrated by the community, allies, and the wider world. Because your voice matters and your story is powerful.

The creative works you bring to life at the YOUnity workshops will be showcased during 2026 PRIDE Fest in Perth, putting your voice, your vibe, and your story centre stage, claiming the space. No filter, all real.
