Join KAN and artist Clare Peake on Friday 25th November for the first in our regular ‘socials’; a friendly and enlivening Friday evening get-together at the Shed.

KAN is kicking off a regular event series that give us all a chance to get together in a relaxed and collegial place – under the fairy lights at the KAN Shed. We’ll have some refreshments, music and will introduce people and ideas that will spark discussion and engagement.

Our First Artist Yarn will by with Clare Peake:

Clare Peake, multi-disciplinary artist will join Naomie Hatherley for a chat about her work and experiences. Clare has recently returned to live in Broome after having lived and exhibited across Australia’s top end and Perth. Clare works with ceramics, jewellery, sculpture and other media. Her work is influenced by myth-making, stories and history – both cultural and personal. Clare is interested in looking at how the things around us reveal something of the way we consider our environment and our place within it.
