KAN Annual Report 2021
KAN held its Annual General Meeting on Friday 10 December. It was a great opportunity to review our busy year and celebrate the growth of our community and vibrant organisation.
Our Board has been very active and we have a few changes in its composition; Thanks very much to Isla Birnie who was one of the founding members of KAN and has been on the Board since it began. Isla is stepping down to focus on other activities.
We welcome some new members to the Board: James Carpenter brings lots of local knowledge and networks, broad experience with not for profits and great operational skills. We also welcome Trinity Blue Newsham. Trinity is only 17 and we applaud her for jumping in and being a fantastic youth rep for us. Trinity is a great young artist who already has lots of experience teaching kids and engaging in community arts. We also welcome Liz Janney to the board officially. She was seconded to the Board as Treasurer during 2021 and it’s great for to make that officially as Liz is very experienced and knowledgeable about running creative businesses and supporting artists.
We also welcome back Naomie Hatherley who was one of the founding members of KAN. Naomie is an award winning artist and supporter of emerging artists across the region.
Here is our Annual Report.
