What is the Snapshot Auction?
The snapshot auction is an annual opportunity for artists to showcase a snapshot of their art in a small format artwork as part of our KAN’s event calendar. Ordinarily the Snapshot would coincide with Broome Fringe Festival but due to COVID event restrictions the 2020 Snapshot Auction will be held online. There may be an opportunity to showcase the artworks for viewing prior to the auction which will be confirmed by KAN closer to the auction date.
Artists are invited to submit artworks with an artist statement for auction. This will provide other artists and the public with the opportunity to get to know the artists, their practice and process. After a short online preview, works will be auctioned to raise funds for the KAN members’ 2020-2021 program.
