‘Yuwayi!’ Yes to the Referendum T-shirt

We support the 'Yes' vote in the Referendum on October 14 and have a Tshirt to show support

KAN and Joshua Button Enterprises support the ‘Yes’ vote in the Referendum on October 14.

Together with screenprinter Ken Wood we have created this fantastic design to show our support.

Joshua Button is a Jaru artist living and working in Broome in the Kimberley. YUWAYI is used across the Kimberley to express YES! If you’d like to show your support, then you can get a t-shirt in these ways:

  1. Contact Clancy at the KAN Shed admin@kimberleyartsnetwork.com.au to purchase one for $25
  2. Purchase one from Joshua Button’s stall at the Saturday Courthouse Markets in Broome
  3. Purchase one from the Fremantle Arts Centre in Perth
  4. Come along to KAN’s print your own T-shirt event

PRINT YOUR OWN T-SHIRT:

Saturday 23 September 10am and 11am

At the KAN Shed, 7 Orr St in Broome.

BYO SHIRT AND $10.

We will help you create your own Yuwai shirt.

KAN, Joshua Button Enterprises, and Ken have all worked collaboratively with Indigenous people over many years. We know that working hand-in-hand with people leads to more successful and better outcomes for everyone; it creates stronger relationships and greater mutual respect that help to close the gap. This is why we support the Yes vote.

You can find out more about why it’s important to stand up and vote YES at the Yes23 website
